 With Covid-19 spreading across regions including Geita, awareness creation to healthcare providers is imperative

 For the country as a whole and Geita region ,in particular, to help ease the devastation and panic, quick response and proper understanding of the pandemic are critical.

 And this is why UMATI with our partners is committed to leveraging interventions and expertise response that supports the healthcare providers, communities and policymakers.

 The government continues to deploy necessary measures aimied at protecting lives from the new coronavirus by giving important directives to the public since the identification of the first case in Arusha, early March, 2020.

 Being a closer partner to the government UMATI decided to join hands with its partner under the Golden Line Program in the quest to support the government in awareness creation of the new coronavirus through training of the representatives of the communites and mining operational structures. The capacity building focused on Community Health Workers (CHWs), Male Change Agents (MCA), Women Ambassadors (WA), VSLA supervisors, Health Enterpreneurs (HE) Cluster representatives, Engaging Men in Accountable Practices (EMAP) Facilitators and key representatives from Gold Mines.
