From our headquarters in Dar es Salaam, UMATI’s team of over 60 sexual and reproductive health rights sector experts lead ambitious programmes spanning over 15 regions across the country.
Suzana is the Executive Director of UMATI, responsible for successful leadership and management of the Association according to the strategic direction set by the National Executive Committee (NEC). She is responsible for planning, directing, developing and managing all functions of UMATI and provide technical support to volunteers in developing policies, direction and implementing them, ensure the Associations’ integrity and represent the corporate interest.
She has over 10 years of global experience in public health investments, financial markets and development and grants finance. This spans Tanzania and the United States, handling over $20m annual budget. Her expertise ranges from Corporate Governance, Budget Management for donors such as (CDC, USAID, UNFPA, Global fund).
Before joining UMATI, Suzana worked with Ariel Glaser (AGPAHI) as the Director of Operations and was responsible for providing operational and administrative support to the Organization’s programs. From overseeing Human Resources, Administration, Procurement, Finance, Grants, and Information Technology. She was also a member of the Senior Management Team and Secretary to the Board Finance, Audit and risk Committee.
Suzana holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration with Concentration on Project Management from Keller Graduate School of Management in Columbus Ohio, USA and Bachelor of Science in Financial Management degree from Franklin University in Columbus Ohio, USA.
When not working, Suzana loves to read and learn new things, travel and explore the world.
Revocatus Kitteka has a wealth of more than 14 years’ experience providing technical assistance and management to Tanzanian development projects funded by USAID, CDC, Global Funds, UKAID, DANIDA, KOICA, GLRA, and the United Nations.
At UMATI he leads operations and institutional development initiatives supporting teams across the country. These include grant management, compliance, finance, and capacity building.
Prior to joining, Revocatus served as the Project Lead for the USAID Capacity Strengthening Project at Tanzania Health Promotion Support (THPS). He was in charge of overseeing the implementation of Capacity Development and Strengthening initiatives, as well as providing technical assistance and general coordination and leadership of project management activities.
Compliance, Finance, Grants Management, and Capacity Building are among CPA Revocatus’s technical specializations.
Revocatus has a Master of Science in Economics and Finance from the University of Bradford, a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Dar es Salaam, and is a Certified Public Accountant from the National Board of Accountants and Auditors Tanzania (NBAA).
Daniel Kirhima has over 14 years of experience in the National and International Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) sector of Tanzania, working in various multi-cultural environments of the humanitarian industry.
At UMATI, Daniel his role includes developing, coordinating, monitoring and managing SRH and other integrated programmes for the Association. He also supports programme teams in their day-to-day deliverables.
Before joining UMATI, he worked with World Vision Tanzania as a Senior Program Officer, Programmes Manager, and Programme Development Facilitator since November 2008 in different programs across Tanzania with the capacity for designing, executing, and managing result-based multisectoral community programs including Reproductive, Maternal, and Child Health, youth and adolescents SRH, HIV/AIDS, WASH, livelihoods, education, and GBV/VAC programs. He has experience in projects funded by FCDO/UKAID, USAID, BMZ, UNFPA, UNICEF, KOICA, and programs funded through child sponsorship.
Daniel holds a MSc in Community Economic Development and BSc. Environmental Planning and Management specialized in Project Management. He is a certified Project Management for Development Professionals.
His great strength and passion are in developing and managing community programs that lead to transformative change in the lives of people, especially the most vulnerable people and underserved.
