Strengthening Linkage between Community-initiated and Health Center RH Services


The project focus is to improve safe motherhood services in the community by strengthening linkage between community-initiated and health center sexual and reproductive health services. In 2013 the project will continue to build capacity of Districts local leaders and village health staff to contribute to the improvement of People’s lives and achievement of MDG 4 and 5, promotion of family planning services, safe motherhood and male involvement in SRH services will be done through CBSPs linking them to village health facilities. Reproductive health services will be improved through update training to service providers from health facilities. The project will also conduct a joint monitoring and evaluation between UMATI, District council and project implementation committees.

 Specific Objectives

  1. Improved access to RH knowledge and information including FP and safe-motherhood in Nindo Ward, Shinyanga rural district.
  2. Increased utilization of maternal and other health related services at the health facilities of Shinyanga rural district.
  3.  Follow-up system/Linkage between community and Nindo Health Center established.
