UMATI will continue participating in National for a such as Technical working groups in different areas such as Adolescents/Young people, FP Contraceptive security, FP, CBD, Gender and SRH and others strive to strengthen the respective SRHR agenda for advocacy at national and districts.
In particular for the year 2013, UMATI plans increase awareness among the general public, policy makers and partners on the health, economic and social impact of unsafe abortion. The advocacy coalitions at both national and sub-national levels will be established by like-minded organizations and/or networks that will target key stakeholders and decision makers involved in SRH & Rights. The advocacy coalition members will include civil society organizations, private and public sectors, media and other interested stakeholders that share similar objectives and agree to work in partnership By working in partnership, the advocacy coalition will draw on their broad collective range of skills, strengths and expertise to raise awareness to the general public on the impact of unsafe abortion and set a way forward for further advocacy. The project will assess, document and disseminate the incidence and its impact on the health and well-being of women, their families and marginalized groups through appropriately tailored documentation so as to advocate and gain support from policy makers at all levels.
