Programs


Advocacy is one of the important component within the 5 "A's" framework in the provision of SRH services. The goal for advocacy is to create conducive environment with strong public, political and financial commitment to, and support for sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) at all decision-making levels. The focus is to raise the prominence of SRHR within national comprehensive development initiatives resulting in an increase of resources allocated for SRHR.

AREAS FOR ADVOCACY

  • Family planning – increasing access to
  • Adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR)
  • Teenage pregnancy – review of regulations that force pregnant girls out of school
  • Conducive policies/regulations for accessible SRH services for the youth including Youth Friendly Services (YFS)

STAKEHOLDERS WE WORK WITH

  • Central and local government (ministries, departments and units)
  • Non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and Community Based Organisations (CBOs) with similar interest
  • Parliamentarians
  • International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF)
